It sounds to me like you're pissed because somehow you made a character and he ended up gimped.

All skills have a use, but that doesn't mean they are good under every circumstances. That's the beauty of the system. Just like in M:TG you would get totally beaten if you picked your cards mostly at random without a greater strategy, in GW you'll get in trouble if you don't use your skills right, and cover yourself from getting your strategy ruined by someone that's specialized against you. Most of the time, I chose my skills based on what I'm expecting my enemies to be bringing and how to counter them.

You keep mentioning assassins, so I'm assuming that's the class you had problem with. Personally, I'm not much of an assassins player, so I can't give you any suggestions, but I have been beaten often enough by assassins to know they can be played right. When it happen he'll usually teleport in my face and kill me in a couple of second, even before I can do anything if I'm not prudent.

Talking about assasins skills, the new feigned neutrality skill is absolutely great for monks. It raise your armor by an insane amount and give you crazy health regen, basically making you invincible, so long as you don't attack, but monks don't attack. I just unlocked it the other night and I'm planning to test it out in action soon, if I can come up with a good Monk/Assassin template.
