Why not? Blizzard is a private company with a world it owns, creates, and runs. If it wants to set a level of behavior, it can. As one of its customers, I think it should ban the people who did this. If enough customers felt that way, it would ban them -- it's a capitalistic entity and wants to make money and will cater to the majority opinion, always.
This game ain't all about fairness and liberty. I'd love to have enough fellow gamers in WOW on my side to tell the company, "you must ban them." In the real world we have liberty -- but that aint WoW. My 2 cents.
