Yes, it's odd. It's like one of them games that try to be something but don't make it there. I agree FR would have been a winner but honestly Turbine didn't put near enough content into Eberron to even do FR justice. And everything looks jungle...ish and bleak and repetetive.

It isn't a bad game to play but you'd be done with it in a month I'd say. It's like a few good NWN's mods strung together but without real stories. Certainly not worth paying for, trust me. I hate to use the term "fanboi" but I can find no other word to describe the people on the DDO boards. If anyone dares dislike the game they go nuts and start insulting, berating and basically knocking your opinion. I mean, we are all fans of D&D yet they insist on blindly defending a clearly lacking game simply because it carries the D&D logo. In my view carrying that logo makes it even more important to let the Dev's know they didn't get it right and that this is not what we see as D&D.

What I want is the system of D&D with the scope and breadth of WoW. I want the endless lands to explore, areas done with the same individuality that Blizzard did the warcraft lands. but set within the Realms. I know some people don't like them but I feel if anyone could bring D&D to life in terms of 'feel' it would be Blizzard, just based on what they have done with their own world. The system of course would take more time but I mean they'd have help from WotC. Ahh to dream .
