I think I will stick to WoW for now. In my view, there is alot of endgame content and 40 extra levels. This is not an "I told you so" line but the lack of levels (content) kinda finally explains why GW is free. I was trying to figure out how they were making it pay for itself. Not a bad thing of course, the fact that it is free still entises alot of people but me, I'm a bit hardcore when it comes to MMO's. GW sounds more of a casual-gamer MMO.
My son plays WoW so I have been able to have some fun with it and, It is alot of fun!!
But it is nothing like Guild Wars the fact that you can't have some turkey who runs the server your on deside the clown that stood back while you did all the work gets the drop really pissed me off. And to have a level 50 come up and bash you when you tried helping him also sucks. I really do not like the Idea of anyone that has the money can buy and sponser a server then play favorites to the so called regulars that play on his server and after you do all the work tell you that the other player needs the weapon drop in order to do some quest and give it to him when he did nothing to get it is not fair gaming. What I'm not aloud to do that mission and I don't need it.
Every time I play WoW I walk away Pissed off at the game play and the little guy bashing of lets crush the new guy and get in your way and just mess with you. In guild wars if that happens you put there name in ignor and they are gone you can see them and they can't see you or hear them or interact with them.
And no Private owned servers with different rules for each server no thanks. WoW can be fun its is just that too many kids have nothing better to do but lay in wait for Noobs then steel the drops while your fighting for you life and run off and dissapear. I'll stick with the Stratage and The class act of guild wars rather than the Hack and slash no tactics required WoW. In Wow the strong win in Guild Wars the Smart win and I like that alot better.
[/QUOTE]No offense meant and maybe it was just the way you said it but most of the situations you describe above make no sense. I have no idea how you got onto a private server but I assure you they are illegal. At max they can hold like 20 players I hear, and of course they are free servers, thus the illegal part since WoW is a P2P game. There is no way you can open the box and log onto one of the few pirated servers without hacking around with the files.

How can a level 50 'bash' you for helping him? How can quest items be traded? How can your drops be stolen when you have already 'tapped' the mob?

Finally, how can you say WoW is hack n slash when it is the no.1 RPG of this year and when you only played for a short time on a seemingly private server with it's own rules as you put it? Why do you have to go there and try bring down this great game down yet again, while at the same time attempting to elevate your own personal favourite? When you say it requires no tactics or strategy and the like you suggest that those of us who play it lack the intellect to play anything with these qualities.

I could easily have said in my above post that in my opinion GW looks like a cheap, fantasy console-game with little or no effort put into the artwork and graphics. Or that it is where the little kiddies go who don't have a credit card which surely means that since kids are the main playerbase it is a dumbed down and simple game and there is no strategy or tactics required and everyone has a nice l$$t name which hurts your eyes. But I didn't...

Have your opinion by all means but remember for the sake of peace, some of these opinions are better left unsaid. I had decided 20 levels was too few for me and that was it. Why do we have to do this every time someone asks for a comparison?
