$27 dollar for TIME CARDS. Its probably less on a credit card.
I did find some of the missions to be boring, but the community is very cool, as are the costume contests. THE best part of the entire game is......Character Creation. There are so many options availble to make your character unique. There are costume sets for gangsters, egyptians, The Thing-esque creatures, aliens, cyborgs, androids, robots, ANYTHING! You can even have more than one costume, but it costs a hell of alot of influence.
One thing I hope for in CoV, is that the interaction with contacts is more than a simple 3 clicks, and boom, new mission. I found that to be very pathetic. I did notice after awhile that mishes were all the same, and all the dungeons looked the same, escpecially offices.
While the powers are very cool, and the superhero idea was also very cool, ths game needs a total mission and contact revamping. More interaction, better, less conformist missions, and even an alignment system maybe, with one side anti-hero doing the right thing for the money, or the total good guy.
The other thing I liked about this game is the unique money and inventory system. Money is in the form of 'influence' which you get from, you guessed it, killing the bad guys. You can't pick up influence, but it is spread around even in your team, or all to you(if you're soloing). The inventory consists of Inspirations(potions) and Enhancements, which make your powers stronger in some way, by equipping them to a certain power, if they have an enhancement slot. Later in the game, you cannot use some Enhancement because they conflict with the origin of your character. Take Angler, my character, for example. A Level 22 Spines\Regen Mutation Scrapper. He can use a Genome Alteration Enhancement, but cannot use a Relic, such as Nechtinebus's Phylactery.
But don't take my word for it, go play the 14 day free trial(includes a 1GB download as well, very unattractive)
