Well, Boots of Speed do not keep the attacks per round steady IIRC. Do you have the Ring of Free Action equiped? Remember that it makes you immune to both beneficial and non-beneficial movement alterering spells (i.e. both Slow and Haste).

And this may be a wild guess here, but maybe the Kensai's amount of attacks per round is limited to 6. [img]graemlins/1ponder.gif[/img]
