Honestly, you get more for materials than you do finished items most times (i.e. anyone can buy the materials and make whatever they want). However, I've managed to rack up some gold, but that was by grinding certain areas and doing Shadowfang three times in one day (3 different groups needed help at different times). I finally found minor beastslaying on one of the SFK runs (that enchant sells well because it makes your weapon glow), and I got the patterns for Phoenix Pants and Phoenix Gloves. Hopefully I can start cashing in a bit now (but I'm still going to grind some next weekend anyway).
Is the coast of Stranglethorn Vale the best place to get Iridescent Pearls? I'm reaching a point where I'm going to be in desperate need of them (my 3 best tailoring recipes use them, and the next rod I have to make for enchanting uses one). Lordamere Lake only nets small pearls.
