Tough or not, the Undead will still suffer greatly from Turn Undead. A Paladin with level 20 Turn Undead will pretty much explode any Undead just by staring at them, even the ToB Liches.
The only crucial thing about Turn Undead is that,
1) You must not interrupt it.
2) It has a radius of 15'
ADD] Personally, I find the Bard's Stronghold the most entertaining.
