Yes, Green tea has caffeine in it... just as much as black tea or coffee. The varying concentration of caffeine depends on how you brew it, just as it would with black tea.

Green tea (and peppermint tea) is especially good for you if you've eaten greasy food... like most chinese foods are that you get at a restaurant. It's also supposed to help minimize some of the effects of the MSG that is in the chinese food, but that's not been proven.

As with anything in this world, over-indulgence in anything can cause you problems. Everything in moderation and you'll be fine.
