Why, these young whippersnappers... complaining about spending a couple hunnert posts as a quintesson... back in my day, we didn't have no quintessons... we had emerald dragon hell, baby, and lemmetellya, it were miserable. Day in, day out, nothin' but those green stars... And finally it upgraded to a picture! A whole green-looking picture! Now that was somethin', fer sure...
It was a rite of passage, it was... to see if you had enough moxie to be able to make it through the dragon's hell... a ritual of seniority, it were. Then the dragon ritual got dropped to a measly 100 posts, and that urinatin' egg came in as the new test.
Fine, we sez... it's not all swords and sorcery, might and magic 'round these parts. We'll tip a hat to the technical world, like they does in Wizardry. Meet the new hell, same as the old hell...
But now... this? Hell is gone, replaced by a temporary visit with the devil? Kids these days... I mean, what is this world coming to?
