Once the first set of protections go away, he is easy pickings. Unless you are fantastically unlucky, your tank alone will hit often enough to keep him from getting another spell off. Like SoS says, saving against that first stun is all that is really important, so go through your stuff, and drop your saves as low as you can. IIRC, you just picked up an item that gives some fantastic bonuses to saves, at least if it works like it does in the PnP game, and if you have Weimer's Item Upgrades, you may have some stuff with bonuses to saves that can be worn with armor. And it might behoove you to sift through your low-level spells to see if there might be something that might give you bonuses to saving throws (Hint, hint.) I don't recall exactly what was cast, but it never hurts to check your stuff to see if there are any items that might reduce magical damage, since keeping your tank above 89 HP is a good thing. And I don't know about this specific encounter, but in other mage-type encounters, the ability to go invisible will cost him the spell he was casting (assuming he targeted you) *and* he will have to waste a round casting true sight. And a round or two of free pummeling is never a bad thing.
BTW, this applies to pretty much any encounter you are not positive you can handle without breaking a sweat, so you may already have your tank so equipped. If so, huzzah!
