We're only just starting to get over our latest recession, namely 9/11. Another one anytime soon would send the world's economy well and truly up everyone's favourite creek and for god only knows how long.
It's funny though, just the other day I was thinking about how stupid and trivial the lives of the rich and famous are. I see it every time I log into hotmail: "Now on MSN, J. Lo and Marc Anthony's Wedding" or "Did you know? Brad Pitt sends his mother a $250 bouquet of flowers every week." I mean honestly, who cares? I'm so unconcerned with those overpaid actors, and attention like this only increases their bank balances. It sickens me to read about how lavish and wealthy they all are. Sometimes I really do think western civilization is on the verge of collapse, like the Roman Empire many centuries ago. It's all so decadent, it can't go on for much longer, surely?
