It is a unlikely probability that we are the only intelligent beings in all of outerspace.The idea or reality that intelligent,life some advanced and some not exist in a universe other than our own seems to me to be most assure.It would be more vain (for mankind) to say it is not possible.If they are gathering any info on us then they understand that it would be a bad idea to make contact with the human race.The structural leaders of the world would be like the ones on Stargate and be fighting over who gets the technology or who didnt and why. It would be better in the long run to let us discover the techs on our own or through cryptic clues etc.However if the earth was facing doom i would hope that we could find some sort of assistance one way or another.
