LOL, that's a silly example cos there's negligible gravity in space so it's completely irrelevant how a meteor "flies" through space - it doesn't even fly as flying means overcoming gravity.
But people are right: the challenge was to get the current plane across the line and it was not specified what condition it had to be in.
