Yeah galvanised pipes SUCK!!! but there better then the cast ones I have in my house
although I did have some galvanised in ther that I removed and replaced with PVC one's. Just becareful on the sizing and if they dont butt up properly make sure you can get one of those rubber reinforced couplers that can be hose clamped to the off sized pipe for proper seal.
