Vask, you know, I actually completely agree with you. Or well, all right, I almost completely agree. I also think it's stupid to wish people a happy birthday when you don't mean it, or simply as a social convention you don't even think about. And I don't do that myself either. I disagree however that when you do like someone, there is no point either. Of course you always wish them the best, but on specific occasions most people want to let them know about it. When someone falls really ill, you tell them how sorry you are, even though they might know. When someone gets married, you tell them how sorry happy (ack, Johnny's malign influence) you are for them. Same goes for birthdays - if I really like someone I truly hope their day will be much better than just any ordinary day, and I don't feel fake telling them. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thanks for the compliment though. [img]smile.gif[/img] But actually my hair hasn't been cut in ages - I inexpertly cut the front myself the day before yesterday, that's all. So I'm not so sure how "now" and "with it" it really looks.
