In order to get the Planar Sphere as a mage/sorcerer stronghold, you either have to get Valygar into your party or turn him in to Tolgerias. This is the
only mage stronghold quest that
needs a certain NPC to get! All the others involve completing quests, sometimes for NPCs, but this is the
only one that needs an NPC. And there's no way a good-aligned mage/sorcerer can do this quest without taking the punk. Grr!
So if you don't keep Valygar around, no stronghold.
