I didn't install a particular partitioning software. I just went with DOS fdisk cause DOS rocks. And for Linux it was the only way to do it in the installation process. Everything went fine cause I found both programs very easy to use and logical.

It doesn't matter that I lose all the data on that HD, cause I put linux on it. And since I just installed everything during the installation cause I thought I might miss something for the tutorial. But now I have like so many programs I and don't use and don't know how to use, that I'd jsut as well start from scratch, cause I need the linux partitioning tool to convert a part of that HD back to windows readable cause I don't need 40 GB for linux
