Lol...those are good...and I've seen things like that out there all too often.

Good example:

I was sitting in a junior level class at the university I go to, and was sitting next to a girl in her early twenties. She turned to me and asked "how do you spell 'white'?" I spelled it for her, and she stated "oh, I've always spelled it W-I-T-E." I was so dumbfounded, I asked her sarcastically if she was an English major. She answered with a combination of total seriousness and complete astonishment "yes I am...how did you know?"

Another one:

Walking in the hallway at the hospital I worked in, I was stopped by a man in his forties who asked me how to get to the emergency room. I told him to take the elevators right behind him (right in plain sight), go down one floor, and go to the right. He then asked if he needed to go all the way back to the lobby to get there. I then repeated the instructions. He then asked if he needed to go down the other hallway he had just passed. I then repeated the instructions again. He then asked if it was by the gift shop on the same floor we were on. I repeated the instructions a third time. He then asked me "those are all of the places I passed on the way in here, so I have no idea how to get there." I just asked him to follow me, and walked him to the emergency room. When my boss asked why I was late, I told her the whole story and we both had a good laugh.
