Yesterday I went and bought a new harddrive, a Western Digital 160 Gb, in these days of 3gb games (Kotor anyone?) I expect it to last me till next summer (I'm an optimist). Anyway, instead of paying an installation fee that is almost as much as the drive I took it home and installed it my self... and what do you know, even with my impressive record of messing up even simplest computer operations I actually got it to work... It only wanted to boot as the master so I had to install Windows on it again, but I just had done that anyway after the WinXP fiasco so it was no big deal...
But there is just one problem (of course there is, I would be disapointed if there wasn't).
The drive while being 160 GB only wants to format as a 130 gb, while it is not exactly a problem, I mean 130 GB is a LOT! I feel kind of cheated out of these 30 gb that are left. Anyone knows why that happens and how to fix it? (preferably without having to format the data that is already on the disk... )
