What a lovely post, Mark! Our little poodle is 11 as well, so I can definitely relate to a boisterous bouncy puppy getting slower and sedater as they get older. I think it just gives you a whole new side of them to love though . It's funny how attached you can get to a little creature - I remember when I first wanted a dog and my brother hated dogs and said no way! - he just loves her and I don't even like to imagine how we'll all be when she's gone.

And I can relate about getting a good picture of a black dog too! Bubbles (well she used to be black; now she's silver) isn't all that photogenic though we have albums full of pictures of her - I think the best photo we have of her is with one of her legs completely shaved of wool when she'd had an operation to repair her AC joint in her knee! (then she had the other one done - she hasn't been the healthiest little thing lol ).

After reading posts on the CE board this thread has made me all warm and snuggly inside
Thank you for the great response! I posted this last night and I was afraid that the thread would drop off the 1st page with little notice. You've just made it all worth while.

Right now, I am eating popcorn and Molly is helping me.
