Yeah the Damascus Sword is unstoppable if you can parry well. I usually play as Mitsurugi against my brother playing Nightmare. Not being able to block is tough when I'm playing against someone as tough as he is. He's actually able to make Nightmare look fairly quick.
I still usually win though.
