The myth of animal mouths being cleaner than humans who practice good oral hygeine habits is false! The moist mouth of any body orifice is a breeding ground for bacteria. How often it's cleaned and sanitized is the key. Simple petri incubated samples from dogs and cats actually show this. The presence of bacteria more dangerous to humans is present in dog/cat mouths. The practice of them licking their genitals and anus clean is highly suspect.
