Melodic metal, most of it's death-doom (I think) and some power and fantasy metal. But not all bands, nothing extreme and/or sick and no black metal. Sometimes I like punk and trash or normal metal. Sort of picky style I guess so here are the bands I really like a lot:

Evanescence
sometimes Nightwish and Rhapsody, system of a down
I listen to a radio on gothmetal.net and there's some more stuff I like there, can't think of the names but I think one was called nevermore or something like that.
