The graveyard is a fairly safe place, surprisingly. Even at night. No spoiler here, I assume, when I tell you that the only real danger lies in the tombs themselves. There are a few quests to pick up, and if you had *AHEM* or *AHEM* in your party, there'd be a few more character specific quests you could do. And if I remember correctly, the graveyard isn't extremely dangerous, especially for a party like you have. A good bit of experience and a few nice items there.
Any quests outside of the city are worth at least looking into. One of my favorite things about this game is that very FEW quests are time oriented... meaning, you can go and get all the quests you want... and then scroll through your journal and decide which you want to do next. Not that it's the valliant hero way to go about it, but hey, I'm not the valliant hero type. After you find out what each quest is exactly, or at least what they want, you can decide from there if you want to try them or not. And I'm not sure if BG1 was like this or not, having never played it, but in order to leave the city, you need to visit the City GAtes first. I think it's the City Gates anyway... I usually rush right thru that part and forget which map area it is exactly.
Unseeing Eye, if I'm right, IS a bit tougher, depending on how beefy your crew is and how well you can deal with... stuff. if you go looking into that one, just remember what I said the first time I did it... "Well, this isn't so hard after all... hey, what's that? AHHHH" *smoosh*
The kobold's staff is part of a puzzle... look around where you found it, click on some stuff, talk to some... one... read some stuff... you'll figure it out. The clue I'll give you is that everything you need is on the map where you found the staff
I'm sure most people here would tell you to jump right on the De'Arnise Keep quest, since it's decent XP and you get one of many people's favorite weapons there... (hint, it's not a bazooka)
I'm not good at party configurations, since I usually just pick people I like, as opposed to who'd better at what. Could explain why I always get spanked in big fights.
Anyway, I'm tired and that's the best I can do. The H'Dalis quest I only did once, and it was with a monster party that chopped up everything in front of 'em, so I can't judge how hard it would be for you.
Have fun storming the castle!
