LPT1 to LPT1 over Hyperterminal? I am not sure but I was told that Hyperterminal would not work on LPT ports... but I could be wrong.

Of course an updated copy laplink program should do the trick, but it is back to the old issue of money again.

In any case, I think the most effective way is either through USB connections or the old UTP connetions via crossover cables.
