That's true... acid rain's an ecological menace, and has scarred the ecosystems of northernmost Europe, among other places. But even here near London, I remember folks thinking at the time that rain would suddenly melt the flesh off your bones in minutes. Aiee. Similarly, the first thing many people I told about the solar flare activity thought was 'is it going to kill us?!? we're all gonna die!'.
The solar flares are scares alright! The fact that the dangers have a factual basis doesn't make them any LESS scary. Quite the reverse, in fact.
