ugh, parents are just EVIL sometimes
when i was younger it was similar to the rules you guys had, where you cant leave the table till you finish dinner.
Problem is they just loved making squash, zuchinni, eggplant and other like vegetables...the smell of them makes me nausious, taking a bite almost causes instant vomiting...and yet they expected me to eat it; usually i ended up waiting a few hours poking it around the plate with the fork and when they werent looking feeding it to the dog or rushing to the bathroom to flush it.
they tried doing crazy mean things too once a in a while, for example: cooking a whole clove of garlic in the same pan as those evil veggies. Theyd put the clove on my plate and see if i noticed a difference - NOT funny taking a bit of something you love and throwing it up right after wondering WTF was wrong with it.
funny thing tho, it must be the way theyre preparing it, cuz i once had a dish of some of those veggies just last yr and it didnt cause me to vomit, course i had diahrea about an hour after.
Oh, and some things that i didnt like actually grew on me as i got older - tomatoes for example, i hated them when i was younger, but now as long as its not one of those gassed tomatoes that have no flavor im fine with it. Ooo and milk, i couldnt stand the taste of it till about 6 years ago when it became an 'aquared' taste since i had to drink it since it was 'good' for me.
