are you listening to windows XP again? Any driver that has not gone through WHQL testing will always give that kind of mesage. there are only a few drivers that have had the tests, so most drivers you install will give you that warning. (:roll: thanks M$). there is a way to turn the warning off though, but i cant remember off hand what it is. if your mouse is acting up, its probably an old model. most new (and typicaly expensive) mice have filters and such on that stop the mouse from jumping. try changing the surface your running the mouse on, most 'skipping' is caused by a bumpy or uneven surface.
[/QUOTE]well since this is an optical mouse, it is hard to use it on anything. Yes, I figured that one out, the laser picks up every little ridge in the pad, and that might cause it, but I have tried running it on everything, with the same results
