I clocked my old 98 machine, and it took over two minutes to boot up. Even after lots of tweaking, the fastest I ever managed to get it was 90 seconds or so. Both my XP desktop and laptop are ready to go, like Timber's, in less than 50 seconds. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Even cooler, you can go to standby or hibernation and "boot back" in less than 10 seconds, and XP is stable enough to use both features for extended periods of time without hosing up the system.
