my dream bedroom-
first the main lights, i would have a normal ceiling light, on a dimmer switch, then I would add black runner lights around the room, in place of molding
, then from the ceiling light out, I would hang christmas style lights, with low wattage bulbs, on a seperate switch, and have them going in a web pattern.
then for the bed, I would want an antique log canopy bed, with silk curtains.
then the rest would fall into place, to match the rest, I would use logs, and hardwood flooring, with throw carpets where I had to walk.
and finnaly the walls, they would be done in a rustic color, with highlights around the room, in place of paintings, I would also use rustic style silk curtains, depending on the color of the bed and stuff, it does not have to match, I refer contrast
anyway, that is my dream, as for yours, the spot lights would be ok, if they are on a seperate switch from the main lights, but always make sure you have different lights in your room, you may one day want it to be dim, the next bright, and you may want to have light orther than in the center, stuff like that
