The thing is, one doesn't
have to choose between a mage and a cleric [img]smile.gif[/img] I'd sure do much better with just a mage than with just a cleric, but I'd do even better with a mage
and a cleric. They provide a wide selection of party-friendly protection and combat boosting spells that mages simply don't have access to, and they thus complement them very well. I don't even need to sacrifice anything for it! Both of my members with clerical spells have another primary use. One is the most capable fighter in my group, and the other is a decent mage as well.
