I'll have to buy 9600Pro now, and I wanted to have a 102% 9700Pro with the 9500Pro
Why would having a 9500 pro give you a 102% 9700 Pro? Unless of course you're refering to modding the card (this only worked with older boards though). The 9600 Pro is substantially slower than the 9500 pro, so I understand your disappointment, but I've heard that they have huge overclocking potential. If I was to choose a replacement for the 9500 pro though (in terms of performance and budget), I'd suggest a Geforce FX 5600 Ultra.

My suggestion is wait until the end of the year... I would not be surprised to see several hot cards released around the same time that Doom III and Half Life 2 come out. Card mfgrs. know there will be a push to upgrade caused by those games.
I've never understood this logic. There is no right time to upgrade, since whatever you buy is bound to be inferior within 6 months to 1 year anyway, and while you are posponing your upgrade waiting for something better to come out, others are currently enjoying what's already out.

Just my 2 Euros
