Sounds like a problem...

First, I'd talk to my friend. "Dude, I'm unhappy. I loaned you the game, and it's broken. I'd really like you to replace it for me."

Either he does, or he doesn't.

If he doesn't, I'm never loaning him anything else. He can b**** and moan all he wants, but he isn't worth my trust at this point. Life goes on. Leave him behind and move on. And when he asks why, tell him. And when he says, "aww, you're not all bummed up about some stupid game, are you? It wasn't even fun anyway!" and tries to belittle you into going along, tell him, "hey -- I can't trust you with a game, so do you think I'm going to trust you with anything valuable?"

Just move on, that's what she told me.
