Doesn't sound like a friend to me.
But - Maybe he was too embaressed and didn't know what to say, other than the "here you are". Try to explain to him that you are dissapointed, that he just didn't cared for it like if it was his own stuff. Tell him that you would have bought a new game (or paid the money for it), if it was you who had damaged a borrowed game.
If he still acts as it wasn't his fault that the game was broken. And like it is your problem, because it was you who borrowed him the game, then: Time to go out and seek some new friends!
