Not exactly how would have described the game Wellard - I would have been more along the lines of :
10 mins into the 3rd quarter, with a 21 point lead, and being the dominant side in all facets of play, the Lions contrived through a massive spate of inaccuracy to gift the Sydney Swans with the vital 4 points. From that 10 minute mark, scoring shots were 10 apiece for both the visitors and the home side. Where the Swans converted uncannily kicking 9 goals and a single behind, the wasteful Lions couldn't hit the side of a barn in totalling 2 goals eight.
This game marks the 2nd time that Sydney has beaten the reigning premiers this year, with these 2 games being numbers 1 and 2 in the accuracy stakes for the entire Swans season. In two matches this year the Swans have managed 41 scoring shots to the Brisbane Lions 56. A massive 25% advantage to the twice beaten Lions.
