Aaaaahh... another Win98 user. Try the followings:

1. Run "MSCONFIG" and uncheck any non-essential programs. You will need to restart Windows once you are done.

2. Pop in your Windows98 CD and copy "taskmon.exe" to your windows folder. Oh, Boot Windows in "Command Prompt only" else Windows will not let you replace the file.

3. If all the above fails, pop in your Windows CD and run setup again. This will re-install windows without removing all your existing programs. (Trust me, I have done it a couple of times myself).
