quick questions:
What OS?
is it updated?
install any new programs lately?
Taskmon is the task manager in 98 or ME i think, are you using the scheduled tasks or anything like that?
MSCONFIG: it's your friend. Check that if you can by going to Start:--> Run--> type msconfig , and see if there's anything listed in the programs or services that run on startup. See if you can track it down, see what it's connected to, maybe disable it if you're able. Any more info you can think of won't hurt either.
