I don’t know much about Australia, but I don’t think all Australians are like Crocodile Dundee. I'm typically not one to generalize, as generalizations are almost always wrong, but then again I just made a generalization about generalizations so I will just stop now.
I guess my perception of Australians, based on those that I have met and interacted with, would include: friendliness, a general cheery attitude, a passion for life, and not afraid to tell it how they think or feel it is. Again, this is just based on my own limited interactions.
While I have an Aussie's (<---is that right?) attention:
I heard that Australia has a holiday dedicated to honoring the Aborigines. I forget the details, I recall it had something to do with addressing past wrong-doings against them, sort of a holiday of reconciliation. Please correct me if I am wrong and give me more details either way. [img]smile.gif[/img]
When hearing about it, I wished we here in the U.S. had a similar holiday for our own indigenous tribes.
