1) Sword: Two-handed sword. Carsomyr, Warblade, Lilacor, Silver Sword. That would make a funny party, come to think of it... maybe an Inquisitor, Barbarian, Berserker, and Kensai. Ouch, ouch, ouch, and ouch. Spells? What's a spell? Overall favorite melee weapon would definitely be Flail/Morningstar, not just for FOA but Wyvern's Tail, Sleeper, and Defender of Easthaven.

2) Bow: Longbow, mostly for flavor rather than ingame weapon selection, and it was my first PC's (Archer) weapon of choice. I wish I had BG1 just so I could import 19str characters to use Strong Arm... I hate "wasting" a strength girdle on an archer. (Yeah, I know, any savegame editor can do it too.) Though for missle weapons, probably the most style points goes to throwing daggers.

3) Warhammer/Axe: Axe. One word: Korgan. Without even leaving the Copper Coronet you can get him his first +3 axe (Stonefire), and his second awaits at Nalia's Keep (Frostreaver), both adding elemental damage on each hit. Recruit him at 8th level (***** Axe, * Hammer), put his 9th and 12th level proficiencies into two-weapon style, and give him both +3 axes, and he's ready to take on just about the whole game. Too bad he can't use Azuredge. He can, of course, use hammers just fine also, and in my current game he has the Dwarven Thrower for missle capability and either he or my Berserker/Cleric PC will get Crom Faeyr once we forge it.

4) Weapon style: Two-handed style. I use two-weapon style more often, but I like the bonuses for ** in two-handed style better... -4 to speed, +1 damage, and twice the criticals. Nice set of extra bonuses that Minsc and Keldorn can aspire to, even though they can't Grandmaster. Wielding two weapons will often be more powerful and effective overall due to the extra attacks and all the nifty things that second weapon can do, but the actual two-weapon style only adds THACO (technically, reduces THACO penalties). Also, you can't hotkey swapping from two weapons to a missle weapon... which is a major pain in my current party with 3 dual-wielders.
