Definitely so. Sex hormones use cholesterol as building block. I'd call them growth related wouldn't you? All steroid hormones are derived from cholesterol. Cortisol is another one and that too is related to growth. The nice part about animal hormones is that they are able to promote cancers in humans (for info try here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed you should be able to find some articles there, hopefully ). So there is definitely the possibility for hormones to pass over to humans. Noted your last question. Cholesterol can not be catabolized by the human body period. Instead we have other means to get rid off it (bile salts for instance).

What about these overgrown chickens? I hadn't heard or read about that. Do you have a link or something? I know that domestic chickens haven't been able to fly properly for hundreds of years now because of the way they're bred for size. They can only fly short distances.Go to your local super market or any food store and pick up a broiler. It's not a domestic chicken. It's a chicken bread for quick and easy food. That's its sole purpose. Do a google on broilers and you should have plenty of sites with information. I'd stay away from the vegetarian ones though.
Sorry about answering within the quote. It was easier that way.
