Yes, it is, as long as you solve the Wild Surges issue.

1. Improved chaos shield ( +25 bonus to wild surge roll ) stacks if you put it in a contingency. This means +75 bonus. With the mage's lvl added up to that, you can reach over 100 ( 100 means a normal cast )
Slight nitpick - Chain Contingency.

2. With limited wish, and a wis. of 16 or higher, you -allways- get the option to restore all your spells, which results in the rememorisation of all(I think) lvl 1 - 4 spells.
Hmmm.. I'm not 100% sure that it restores all of your level 1-4 spells, but it certainly restores enough for the tactic to be effective.

Another thing worth noting, found in the spell reference,.. is that NRD acts like Improved Alacrity ( ToB-spell ) which means no pauses between casting spells.
... which makes NRD so utterly cheesy.
On a side note, Contingency & Chain Contingency also behaves in the same manner.

So, harnassing the allpowerfull knowledge of the spell reference,..

There are three variants to Endless Spells:
(a) The well known Wish -> Rest option.
(b) The less known Spell Trap -> clones -> yada.
(c) The very non-trivial NRD which Daan is refering to.

From my personal experience, (a) goes best with Sorcerers, (b) goes best with Mages and (c) works best (and only) with Wild Mage. (c) is also the most fun, if you ask me.
