I'm creating a flier to advertise for a study I'm assisting with to do with adolescents (13-18) with epilepsy and diabetes. And I'd like some advice on how best to design it so teens will be most likely to firstly notice it, and secondly want to participate. It won't be in colour (although maybe coloured paper?) and I think minimal pictures if any. Basically we want to say what they'll have to do (questionnaires and a group conversation) and how to contact us to come along.
How much text is too much?
How should the invitation to come along be worded? For example, when tossing around suggestions we thought 'share your experiences', 'do you have a story about epilepsy', 'come and talk about epilepsy'. Which of these, or perhaps something else, is most inviting? 'Do you have a story about epilepsy' was mooted because it was thought it might be a bit confrontational, like teens might be like 'no I bloody don't, mind your own business' or something

. Similarly, how would be best to say who they'll be sharing their experiences with? Other teens? 'People like you'?
What sort of font would be appropriate? Something 'fun' but not like we're trying too hard to be 'cool'? Oh dear LOL
Anyway hopefully you'll all have some good ideas . You'd think I'd remember about being a teenager since it was such a short time ago, but apparently not
