But it doesn't make any ground towards solving it, and it won't. As for what it can do to help it... thats equally as debatable. Perhaps they're working off the 'ignorance is bliss' theory, whereby what people don't know won't hurt them. I think the average person has enough common sense to look at a film subjectively, and if its good, to take away some new ideas or thoughts about the issue. I don't personally think films affect people in the way they are made out to, although there are exceptions to every rule and clearly a lot of people out there who take TV and Film far too literally.

Some people just don't want to see the truth. It hurts, but personally I'd rather be aware of the pain than go on in my own little world, pretending everything is fine.
