Just to add to these two that the first one is definately correct. It occurred on 27th August 1896, starting at 9.02am, and the turning point was when the entire Zanzibar navy (an ocean tramp named The Glasgow) was sunk with only two shells at 9.15am. The pretender Sultan of Zanzibar surrendered at 9.40.
