Got the ATI 4850, installed the patches from here and the game is now working fine at 1280x1024 straight out of the box - so the problem for a lot of people may just be they have an NVidia card!

Memnoch, money is a lot tighter in this game than most. You literally have to sell everything you don't need to make sure you get enough health potions (until your mage gets the Heal spell anyway)...

Changes between console and PC are a lot more than just the camera viewpoint and controls.

The console version has been changed to make it an action-RPG, whereas the PC has been kept as a PC RPG....

For a game as old a W&W it is pretty intensive. Not sure how many people could have run it when it first came out. Could be one of the reasons it didn't sell fantastically well.
