I was just flipping through the channels, and CNN comes up, some dumbass kid shot someone in a school in Tenn, and the police guy was doing a press statement. The dude goes "The victim is currently deceased".
OMG!! Now that is a very curious statement. Sad indeed, some one was shot and died, but saying 'currently deceased' was odd. What? Do they expect a resurrection to take place later?

geez.. that statement was just one of those things where you do a double take.. HUH!?!?!

Ah yes, it sounds odd. I think they meant their status as opposed to "critical condition" or something but it came out as overstating the obvious.

You never nkow. Clinically dead, and dead-dead are two wholly different things...

The logical side of me professes that he's dead-dead, and it was just the cop mispeaking, but the theorist in me is vying for control.
