I have a slight problem whenever I try to play Baldur's Gate II. Sometimes I can initiate dialog with people and sometimes I can't and it says "You cannot initiate dialog. So-and-so appears busy." Now, I've played this game before and I'm darn sure that I can talk to these people (people like Anomen), however sometimes I get that message. Any way to fix this?

Whenever the plot requires a character to make a certain action, during that time you cannot initiate a dialog with him.

I know - thing is, I know these people are supposed to talk with me when I click on them, because I've played the game before - I can't talk to people like Anomen who just stand around all day.

My deduction says you have ToB as well. If so, go download the latest ToB patch to address this known problem. Refer to the Welcome thread for links to the latest patches.

According to the patch documentation, it`s associated mainly with Win 2k and XP. </font>
