Just some neat (free) programs to have

I figured I'd post some useful programs from my list of toys and see if anybody thought they were useful to them or maybe you can recommend something even better. The links I provided are of course not the only source of the downloads, so google them if you want.

kruptos 2.0 (encripts your files with password protection) http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...scription.html

File Shredder (self explanatory) http://www.fileshredder.org/

XP antispy (adds some security to XP http://www.xp-antispy.org/

Bitmeter (measures bandwidth usage and some other stuff I don't remember) http://www.snapfiles.com/get/bitmeter.html

Tone (signal, audio, digital) generator (There are many...I don't even want to give a link because there are probably more interesting ones than the one I currently have downloaded. Just do a search and there's all these free generators out there that make tones that can go so low or so high that only animals and stuff can hear them and they're fun if you turn them up real high so as to run people out of the room and stuff (have protection for own ears applied prior to such uses...).

Tune it to a frequency that your kids can hear but you cant :D

Spybot - S&D (a program that searches for and deactivates spyware) http://www.safer-networking.org/nl/index.html
