The one who's adopted child was murdered. It goes into the journal like a quest, but I can't find anything on it. Am I missing it? Or is it there?

I am a litle confused have you found the child or have you found the Paladin.

You need to renite the child with the Paladin. I hope this helps.

And welcome to the board.

<font color="lightblue">Over the other side of the Graveyard, near where you first came in, is a Priest of Lathander and a girl who`s recently been orphaned.

Thanks, both of you. Actually, I finally looked right and found the orphan girl. Speedily calculating that this was the solution through my superior intellect (smiling), I completed the quest. I don't know why I didn't notice them before. Perhaps I had walked by them so many times, I told myself that I had when I hadn't.

You need not notice them before. The orphan and the paladin are in the cemetery only on certain hours in the daylight. I don't know exactly when.

You'll run into them from around 10am to a little after noon. That's generally when I see them.

I think they call it the "medieval-times-where-parents-are-lucky-to-make-forty-and-kids-are-lucky-to-make-four" mentality. Not enough priests of Ilmater to go around, I guess.
